Location Description The Post Consumer Brands sales office in Bentonville is in the heart of the Natural State, Arkansas. Bentonville is also home to the Walmart home office, which this sales team primarily serves. In addition to managing the relationship with Post's largest customer, the small, dedicated team also participates in several charitable and volunteer events throughout the year. The team prides itself on winning together and working hard to meet goals, while celebrating wins. Responsibilities The Senior Customer Category Manager plays a key role in building a strong partnership with retailers by providing strategic, consultative category guidance and executional tactics that deliver market leading growth for both retailers and Post Consumer Brands. This individual will conduct best-in-class shopper and category analysis using multiple syndicated and custom data sources to generate actionable and specific recommendations across product, pricing, promotion, and placement. Customizing strategy and executing aligned efforts by using effective communication and influence that drives category growth while meeting retailers’ goals is a priority for this position. Candidate should leverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recognize and anticipate issues and opportunities by elevating analyses beyond reporting and translate insight into retail action. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Deliver fully integrated consumer, shopper, category and marketplace insights and trends to guide strategic choices and tactical executions, to drive market leading growth for the short and long term. Conduct robust customized retailer analysis using national research, category management capabilities, analytical tools, and data visualization to identify and communicate business opportunities or challenges. Translate Category Story into tailored Customer Playbooks, customized as appropriate to meet retailers' needs. Own implementation of perfect shelf initiative at covered retailers, working with Category Development to understand overall strategy as needed. Coordinate inputs from Sales and the Commercial, Strategy and Execution teams to support Category Management outputs such as Customer Playbooks and prepare for key customer meetings where resets and line reviews are discussed. Qualifications EXPERIENCE: 5+ years CPG business experience in category management, sales, business analytics and/or shopper insights. Exceptional communication skills that include verbal, written, presentation and follow-through. Highly skilled in data analytics and presentation building. Strength in leveraging facts and insights to build compelling stories with actionable recommendations. Superior drive for results with demonstrated ability to build collaborative and create influential partnerships with the customer and internal business partners. Strong expertise with syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen) and Shopper Insights portals is preferred.
