The Walmart US Trade Compliance team manages import and export compliance and operational functions to mitigate compliance risks and seamless cross border shipments. Walmart continues to grow its ecommerce business, and third-party marketplace is a strong pillar of this growth. In this role, you'll collaborate with Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS), Trade Compliance, Strategy, Systems, and other internal teams as well as external e-Commerce sellers and 3PL's to simplify global cross border shipments.
The Senior Manager, Cross Border Trade Compliance will build out the strategy for supporting trade compliance of marketplace cross border program while support trade compliance oversight for 3rd party logistics providers and cross border shipping operations. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for Trade Compliance initiatives with a primary focus on B2B and B2C shipments worldwide. You will apply a general management perspective and problem-solving approach, will be agile and able to apply the right frameworks, operating cadence, and business analysis and acumen to the product roadmap. As such, you will be able to identify key risks, dependencies, and work with the requisite teams to put solutions in place that will achieve the project outcomes.
The Senior Manager, Cross Border Trade Compliance will be skilled at engaging and communicating to senior executives across multiple domains, as well as engaging at a detailed level across product management and operations, supply chain, and analytics.

You are a Licensed Customs Broker with small parcel cross border trade experience.
You have a working knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) for countries outside of the U.S.
You are familiar with global special trade provisions (eg. de minimus).
You have prior work experience with freight forwarding or express carriers.
You have the knowledge to evaluate different customs brokerage initiatives and provide proper recommendations to senior leadership team.
You are natural at influencing others, leading teams, managing stakeholders, getting buy-in from leadership and cross-functional teams.
You are a self-starter with a strong attention to detail and an ability to deal with ambiguity.
You are adept in driving multiple projects with numerous stakeholders simultaneously.
You're skilled at engaging and communicating with senior executives across multiple domains.
You're organized, disciplined, and can bring structure to ambiguous problems.
You have experience in process design, six sigma or operational excellence.
You have a bachelor's in supply chain management, business management, or other related fields.

Solving technical product problems - Dive deep to determine the root cause of the most challenging technical problems, work with multiple teams to engineer a solution and drive the execution of these improvements.
Building trust through operational excellence - Monitor technical operations across WFS, aggressively investigate customer/seller facing issues, work with multiple stakeholders to resolve issues and implement exacting standards for technical performance across WFS.
Driving end to end ownership - Manage applicable system solutions for new features and ensure end to end ownership of solutions by working with relevant cross-functional groups including Data science and engineering teams.
Leading product initiatives - Ensure critical business issues and core product strategies are addressed in product decisions; drive process changes based on feedback; drive resource allocation decisions; and set the standard for Product Manager deliverables.
Working cross-functionally and across multiple locations - Communication, collaboration, and organization are key to your success. Work with cross-functional teams to translate the product strategy into a product roadmap and engineering sprints.
Building - Take features from ideation / exploration with customers to full launch and rollout, including marketing plan and field enablement.
Moving fast - Work in an agile and iterative team environment.
Responsibilities
Own and drive the customs brokerage strategy for marketplace cross border trade and NVOCC.
Proactive subject matter expert for global de minimis duties and taxes.
Partner with marketplace cross border teams to develop and implement key strategies.
Working with the leadership team to track appropriate metrics, OKRs, key issues, status, and launch plans that inform the continued success of projects.
Defining product requirement and outlining the deliverables throughout each step of the product cycle.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years' supervisory experience. 3 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
