Walmart Senior Director, Information Security in Bentonville, Arkansas

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director to lead our organization responsible for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Linux Identity. This role will have the overall responsibility for setting the vision, strategy, and direction for MFA, PAM, and Linux Identity programs, while leading a team of experts in these domains. The Senior Director will play a key role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data, while promoting efficient and effective access management practices.

What you will do

Strategic Leadership: -Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic roadmap for MFA, PAM, and Linux Identity programs, aligning them with the overall organizational objectives and security standards. Provide visionary leadership to the team, setting clear goals, expectations, and KPIs to drive performance and continuous improvement. Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure alignment and integration of MFA, PAM, and Linux Identity initiatives with broader security and IT strategies.

MFA Implementation and Management: - Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing management of MFA solutions across the organization. Define and enforce MFA policies, standards, and best practices to enhance security measures and protect critical systems and data. Stay abreast of emerging MFA technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and relevance to the organization's security needs.

Privileged Access Management (PAM): - Develop and implement a comprehensive PAM strategy, encompassing privileged account management, access controls, monitoring, and auditing. Lead the deployment and ongoing management of PAM solutions, ensuring secure access to critical systems and data while minimizing the risk of unauthorized access. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PAM solutions into existing infrastructure and workflows, ensuring seamless user experience and minimal disruptions.

Linux Identity Management: - Provide strategic direction and oversight for Linux identity management, including user provisioning, access controls, and authentication mechanisms. Define and enforce Linux identity management policies and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Collaborate with IT teams to implement robust Linux identity management solutions, promoting secure access and efficient administration of Linux-based systems.

Team Leadership and Collaboration: - Build and lead a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, promoting their professional growth and development. Collaborate and engage with other departments, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration and successful project delivery.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on Authentication, MFA, PAM, or Linux identity management.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams responsible for MFA, PAM, and Linux Identity.

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of MFA technologies, PAM solutions, and Linux identity management best practices.

  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards related to access management and identity governance.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering large, enterprise scale solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00-$320,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 7years' experience in information security or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.Option 2: 9 years' experience in information security or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

4 years' supervisory experience.
