What role you will play in our team

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Account Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing and growing our relationships with various large retail accounts. It is part of a dynamic team focused on growing the motor oil category and the synthetic share leading brand Mobil 1 and more. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and account management, with a deep understanding of the retail industry. This role is based in Bentonville, AR and works under the direction of the Customer Team Leader.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at major retail chains, identifying new business opportunities and delivering tailored solutions

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Provide regular reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and market insights to senior management

  • Coordinate with marketing, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and optimize marketing efforts

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance market share with large accounts, creating comprehensive business plans with revenue and product category targets

  • Observe pipeline trends, take corrective actions, and generate reports

  • Analyze Circana monthly reports to understand the market, track competitor promotions, and provide recommendations to accounts

About you

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management or sales, preferably with large Retailers.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing accounts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to managing a complex workload

  • Proficient with data visualization tools such as Tableau

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Insatiable curiosity

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to influence with or without authority

  • Ability to cycle between analytical and strategic situations

  • Intuitive ability to prioritize work and operate with autonomy in ambiguous circumstances
