UL, LLC Facilities Manager in Bentonville, Arkansas

A Facilities Manager is responsible for the direction, administration, and coordination of a facility or facilities or region of the Facilities Department. Responsible for controlling major office modifications, site improvements, maintenance and repair functions by in-house staff, vendors, internal/external contractors. Develops and manages operating, expense and capital budgets for the Department as well as the space budget for the entire operation. Operates within those budgets as directed by the Regional Facilities Leader or Facilities Director. Explores space cost reduction measures with the intent of optimizing facility operating expenses. Designs and administers systems and procedures to effectively manage compliance issues of significant exposure and potential liability. Works on Corporate projects that result in establishing policy, procedures and direction that impact all ULS facilities. May be assigned additional operational responsibilities at the direction of the Regional Facilities Leader or Facilities Director.

  • Responsible for controlling facility operations such as, maintenance of grounds, buildings and equipment, security, shipping/receiving, space-planning design, Environmental and safety programs in partnership with EHS/Environmental Teams and in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements.

  • Interacts with Facilities Managers at other ULS locations to coordinate operations of each facility, maintain conformity between facilities and provide service and support to smaller ULS facilities located within a localized region.

  • Develops and manages operating, expense and capital budgets for the Department as well as the space budget for the entire facility or facilities. Operates within those budgets as directed by the Regional Facilities Leader or Facilities Director. Explores space cost reduction measures to reduce facility operating expenses.

  • Develops and implements long range and strategic corporate plans for the facility or facilities of responsibility and undertakes corporate projects resulting in establishment of policy, procedures and direction that impact all ULS facilities.

  • Responsible for organizing, planning, scheduling, and assigning work and training of Facilities staff, vendors, and contractors.

  • Manages the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.

  • Leads and manages all maintenance and minor construction projects onsite.

  • Support local leaders and other corporate real estate team members as required. Travel as required to support efficient operations and business continuity.

  • University Degree (Equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree) in a technical discipline or equivalent mix of education and experience

  • 5-10+ years of facility management, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance supervision experience in laboratory, critical, or manufacturing environments.

  • FMP (Facilities Management Professional) or other relevant certification

  • Managerial experience required with proven budget and personnel responsibilities.

  • Strong organizational and management skills within matrixed organizations; including oversight of both technical and administrative staff.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office.

  • Proficiency in CMMS/Work Order systems.
