The team you will be a part of

The Product Marketing team markets the organization's products and services using customer marketing databases. Creates direct mail marketing plans, targeting specific market segments with specialized offers. Collaborates with market research in developing response models and other database improvements. May conduct data mining analyses of customer data to develop marketing trends.

This role in summary

The Product Marketing Launch Manager is responsible for developing and executing Front Load Laundry Go-To-Market launch plans for the Whirlpool Corporation portfolio of brands. This person will work closely with brand marketing, merchandising, shopper marketing, sales education, consumer insights, engineering, and manufacturing to deliver exciting product launches. This person is also the marketing leader for all in-market products and maintenance of business activities. The position reports to the Senior Director of Laundry Product Marketing.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead product Go-To-Market plan and launch execution results through strong cross-functional relationships (working with Merchandising, Brand, Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Consumer Design, Sales Training, Internet of Things (IoT), and Finance) to deliver effective, coordinated and comprehensive product launches to the market

  • Ensure consumer insights, shopper insights, purchase drivers, and other research are leveraged to drive fact-based, consumer-driven product/feature tradeoff decisions that supports brand positioning

  • Project management within a tollgate structure

  • Act as a primary marketing contact for your product platform for maintenance of business activities including product specification changes, quality improvement, cost management, production changes, etc.

  • 10% travel

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years in product, marketing or sales

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Master’s Degree

  • Ability to simplify the complex in a way that is compelling for stakeholders

  • Consumer-centric, insight-led, and naturally curious with a sense for solving problems that others may not realize exist and a desire to push beyond the status quo

  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset, excellent critical thinking, sound judgment and effective decision-making ability

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: highly collaborative with ability to build solid working partnerships across functional groups

  • Self-starter, works with minimal oversight
