Midwest Goods Inc. Social Media and Graphic Design Specialist in Bensenville, Illinois

Location: Bensenville, IL (On-Site)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Status: Full-time (Exempt)

Compensation: Starting at $56K Annually

$300 Sign-On Bonus After The Completion of the 90-Day Probationary Period

We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Social Media and Graphic Design Specialist to join our team. As the Social Media and Graphic Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling graphics and engaging content for various social media platforms. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and implement social media strategies that align with our brand identity and objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy to increase followers, engagement, and conversions

  • Manage and oversee social media content across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest

  • Monitor analytics to identify viable ideas, track performance, and adapt strategies as necessary

  • Design graphics for social media posts, advertisements, banners, and other marketing materials

  • Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content that builds meaningful connections with our audience

  • Ensure brand consistency in messaging and visuals across all online channels

  • Use graphic design software to create visual concepts that meet the marketing and content strategy

  • Produce a wide range of materials such as infographics, brochures, emails, and newsletters

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends to ensure the company's visual content is relevant and fresh

  • Work closely with the marketing team to define and implement digital campaigns

  • Collaborate with writers and other designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new ideas in content marketing

  • Respond to comments and messages on social media platforms to build a community around our brand

  • Engage with influencers, partners, and customers to foster relationships and collaborations

  • Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness

    Experience & Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or Graphic Designer

  • Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and metrics

  • Creative mindset with an ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content

  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate design and strategy

  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines

  • Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics and functionality

  • Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS and experience with web design is a plus

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has no supervisory responsibility.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field

  • Marketing and Sales experience

  • E-commerce experience is a must

  • Experience with WordPress, Magento, HTML, CSS, and SEO

  • Experience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.)

    Work Authorization

    Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
