Job Title: Manual Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist for the 1st Shift (Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 3:30pm) with opportunities for overtime each week. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating and setting up manual lathe machines, with a strong understanding of safety procedures and practices.
Responsibilities
Operate and set up manual lathe machines
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Select and utilize appropriate cutting tools for various applications
Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
Adhere to safety procedures and practices
Ensure attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
Troubleshoot issues with machines and parts
Work independently and collaboratively with team members
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed
Essential Skills
Proficiency in operating and setting up manual lathe machines
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Knowledge of different cutting tools and their applications
Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices
Attention to detail and accuracy
Problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication skills
Flexibility and adaptability
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience setting up and operating a manual Lathe

Work Environment
This is a very heavy industrial environment that can get quite hot in the summertime. The position involves working with various manual and precision tools in a safety-conscious setting.
