Job Description Summary

As a Sr. Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development planning and execution for the Platform Team.

This role will require you to have excellent organizational, personal and communication skills, as you will be the primary representative for the team with respect to what needs to be delivered to the program and by when. While doing this, you will be celebrating team accomplishments, helping to remove any challenges ahead and facilitating team collaboration.

This role is great from someone who has previously worked in a software execution role and is interested in working on our team. It is also an equally great opportunity if you are an experience software engineer who has led development teams in the past, and you are looking to expand your program leadership skills and scope of influence across multiple software development teams.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Owning the software development and integration plan for multiple Scrum teams

• Partnering with Product and Engineering to continually manage and prioritize the team’s backlog

• Leading the team’s planning related operating mechanisms: Release Cycle Planning, Sprint Retrospectives, Sprint Planning, Scrum of Scrums

• Supporting team during day-to-day execution with removing impediments or making priority calls

• Delivering on sprint plans - managing SCRUM of SCRUM during sprints to ensure integrity of the plan

• Coordinating on planned integration points across all software teams

• Coordinating the program level quality execution metrics for the release cycle & Sprints

• Partner on global Software initiatives on sharing and adopting best practices on Scaled Agile, SCRUM and Quality processes.

• Demonstrate technical leadership with maturity in balancing scope, timing and resources.

• Define execution plan, establishes milestones, tracks, monitors the progress based on project scope, expected timeline, available budget/resources and ensures timely delivery of the commitments with high quality

• Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project

• Act as an Agile Coach to the team and encourage team collaboration playing the scrum master role

• Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required

• Facilitates release planning / program increment readiness and planning events.

• Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting

• Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.

• Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline.

• Work experience of 8+ years with hands on exposure to software development lifecycle.

• Strong software development background. Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience & knowledge of program management tools & processes including Agile product development methodology.

• Demonstrated ability to work with remote teams to deliver a product or platform.

• Demonstrated track record of delivering challenging projects on time while satisfying quality and performance needs

• Experience managing projects across global cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules using Agile development methodology

• PMP, ScrumMaster or related Project Management certifications.

• Experience in Software projects with Java,Springboot,Microservices,Devops, Kubernetes and NoSQL

• Experience in Agile development practices: Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD)

Desired Characteristics

• PMP, Scrum Master or related Project Management certifications

• Working knowledge of software as a service (SaaS), micro-service architectures, Docker, Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Experience using Confluence, Rally, or AHA for program dashboards and reporting to senior leaders

• Experience establishing KPI's, SLA's to measure project progress and reporting to senior leadership
