Google Technical Account Manager, Play Books in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEM, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.

  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience escalating and presenting key issues and recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Ability to facilitate discussions, structure agreements, interpret legal documents, and work with legal teams to sign and manage agreements.

  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative, and ambiguous start-up like environment where thoughtfulness, with an entrepreneurial mindset, persistent execution, and ability to form relationships.

Google Play Partnerships is dedicated to helping developers grow successful businesses using Google Play and the Android platform. As part of the Global Business Consulting organization, the Technical Account Management (TAM) team works closely with global partners to drive business success by enabling high quality, innovative, and locally relevant apps and games across all Android devices. Our team attains a deep understanding of partners’ business and technical needs, and works closely with Product and Engineering teams to provide the right technical solutions to those partners.

The Play Books team strives to provide the world's best ebook and audiobook purchase and consumption experience by allowing users and their families to enjoy and share millions of premium books and audiobooks on Android, iOS, and web devices in 75 countries and in 100+ languages. We embrace complexity in supporting multiple formats including image-heavy manga/comics, flowing text ebooks, multimedia books, children's picture books, and textbooks.

  • Provide technical guidance, timelines, milestones, and best practices to strategic partners to accelerate and de-risk product adoption.

  • Create custom and repeatable solutions through partner requirements gathering and mapping, solution strategy formation, scoping, development, and testing.

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to validate high complexity product bugs and drive towards resolution.

  • Engage partners proactively in business growth opportunities enabled by new feature rollouts and technical optimizations.

  • Develop best practices and assets based on learnings from partners engagements to help support and scale initiatives.
