Google Staff Software Engineer Lead, Payments, Google Play in Bengaluru, India
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java) and with data structures/algorithms.
Experience in building distributed systems, backend development, full stack development, or technical design.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in software engineering building complete applications and pipelines.
Experience with data analysis and e-commerce payments systems.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The Platforms and Ecosystems product area encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications). The products provide enterprises, and ultimately end users, the ability to utilize and manage their services at scale. We build innovative and compelling software products—from apps to TVs, from laptops to phones—that have an impact on people’s lives across the world.
Work jointly with the Payments team in India, leading the team to develop and integrate with client- and server-side protocols for onboarding new Forms of Payment (FOP) in various markets across the globe, and improving the time it takes to launch and grow value for developers and Google.
Work directly with the Product and Business Development teams in Play to increase customer growth and cost savings through FOP amplification and promotion campaign management.
Improve FOP experience optimization in high potential local markets through FOP decline recovery, FOP ranking, etc.
Lead initiatives to improve FOP monitoring and observability, such as performance dashboards with latency breakdown, etc.
