Emerson Staff Software Engineer - C# - Web Development - (2 to 5 years) in BENGALURU, India

Integrated Products group in Product R&D has an immediate opening for a Staff Software Engineer. This group at Bengaluru is primarily responsible for developing semiconductor & transportation customer focused products like STS SW Bundle, ECU Test systems etc., ranging over different technologies like C#, Python, LabVIEW, TestStand and requiring the knowledge of various other NI software & hardware. Our group is responsible for exploring new and emerging application areas to help define future offerings, while collaborating with Sales, System Architects, Business Development Managers, and Manufacturing.

The NI ECU Test System (ECUTS) is a configurable, out-of-the-box functional test solution that combines NI software, hardware, and services to ensure our customers’ success. In this role, the Staff Software Engineer will contribute to the research, design, and development of features/applications/web APIs required for ECU Test system configurations.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Research, design, and implement website/application software/backend/frontend components to list available ECU (Electronic Control Unit) Test system configurations.

  • Ownership of features of a system.

  • Collaborate with global R&D teams on feature dependencies, customer escalations etc.

  • Design/Develop IP/features for re-usability across systems/future opportunities. Follow software development processes and best practices for design/development.

  • Seek feedback on the system/features from Offering Managers, Offering Architect, Application Engineers etc. and implement.

  • Contribute to design and code reviews.

  • Fix critical issues and customer escalations to effective resolution.

  • Identify and recommend improvements to benefit long-term product quality and development efficiency.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. or any equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering

  • 2-5 years of experience in application/system design & development preferably passionate about Test and Measurement.

  • Hands-on design, development and debugging skills in C#, REST, Web APIs, Falcon, JavaScript/ NodeJS.

  • Experience with developing Front-end, Back-end and database management.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience in programming using NI hardware, drivers, and application software such as TestStand, and LabVIEW.

  • Prior experience developing applications for electrical vehicles and production test.

  • Experience developing Test and Measurement applications/systems using LabVIEW, Python or TestStand.
