Position Overview
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our Platform Services and Emerging Technology Developer Enablement (DevRel) group. The DevRel organization's mission is to empower developers with the tools and support they need to build high-quality applications that meet Autodesk's requirements. This includes enabling developers to create, test, and deploy software applications using Autodesk developer tools like CloudOS and Beacon .
The DevRel team fosters knowledge sharing and collaboration, creating a community of empowered developers. This role involves representing developer needs within the APAC/EMEA regions, providing technical support, building and maintaining developer enablement solutions, and collaborating with partner platform teams to ensure the platform meets developers' needs. You will report to a Senior Engineering Manager , and this role is based in India .
Responsibilities
Standardize service deployment configurations and processes for application teams
Accelerate deployment timelines for application teams
Facilitate onboarding of application teams to internal developer platforms
Provide technical support to developers utilizing platform services
Assist developers in building and deploying their applications
Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with development teams to resolve problems
Work closely with development teams to ensure the platform aligns with their requirements
Maintain comprehensive documentation and training materials for platform services
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends
Minimum Qualifications
5–7 years of experience managing resources within cloud computing platforms such as AWS
5–7 years of experience in automating software development lifecycles using CI/CD tools like Jenkins , CloudBees , and Spinnaker
5–7 years of experience with infrastructure provisioning and automation tools like Terraform
Experience in development, build, and deployment processes for workloads, including serverless, container-based, and enterprise applications
Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
Experience implementing observability practices and tools, including Prometheus , Grafana , OpenTelemetry , Splunk , Dynatrace , and NewRelic
Ability to create technical documentation such as runbooks and engineering resources
Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or active involvement in open-source software and communities.
Enthusiasm for speaking at conferences and engaging with developer communities.
Relevant certifications, such as:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
