Oracle Software Developer III in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

You will work with teams of software engineers for the software design, development, and operations for our new and products. You should architect systems interactions, be hands-on, be able to investigate into any part of the stack and have a good sense of cloud infrastructure and networking knowledge. You should value simplicity and impact, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be zeal to learn.

You should have experience developing and operating high-scale services, and an understanding of how to make these cloud-scale services resilient. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and productive; someone who knows how to balance speed and quality with iterative and incremental improvements. You understand operational excellence and know-how to infuse a culture of being proactive within your team.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Make enhancements to existing software with minimal direction

  • Participate in code reviews and identify moderate issues or deviations from best practices

  • Collaborate on component level technical designs

  • Own and assist others in debugging and documenting root cause analysis and resolution

  • Identify process improvements at team level to support operations and development ecosystem

  • Provide software release support

  • Mentor and train new associates within team and training programs

  • Lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with other team members

Experience Required in below areas:

  • Experience with multi-threading and parallel processing

  • Good Understanding of any cloud services & capabilities

  • Past experience of building scalable, performant, and secure services/modules

  • Experience with Container platforms

  • Good understanding of testing methodologies.

  • Experience with CI/CD technologies / capabilities.

  • Experience with observability tools like Spunk, New Relic, etc

  • Good understanding of versioning tools like Git/SVN.

For the below areas, we expect experience in atleast one of the following areas:

  • Deep experience with Java or other JVM based programming languages

  • Experience with multi-threading and parallel processing

  • Understanding of Micro Services architecture and API design OR

  • Solid understanding of Big Data Technologies like Spark, Hadoop Map Reduce, Crunch, etc

  • Experience with working on programming languages such as Scala, PySpark, Python, etc

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 3 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:

  • At least 3 years software engineering work experience

  • At least 3 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
