Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence platform (FDI) is the next generation of Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse built for Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, bringing together business data, ready-to-use analytics, and prebuilt AI and machine learning (ML) models to deliver deeper insights and accelerate the decision-making process into actionable results.

The backbone of FDI is the lights-out data pipeline that manages the data warehouse for all the customers.

This position is for a Consulting member of Technical Staff in the FDI Pipeline Data Model development organization. Data Model team defines the application development language and uses the same to build applications – deliver analytic data models for Fusion, NetSuite, Salesforce etc. sources. The new hire will own the data model design and development for major pillars. The new hire should value simplicity and scale, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, mentor junior engineers and always be excited to learn.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product Managers to understand and translate business and functional requirements into analytical data model

  • Design and implement data models and pipelines that power reporting, analytics, and machine learning models, ensuring ease of understanding and explainability.

  • Conduct thorough code reviews and follow best practices for data engineering, focusing on explainability, extensibility, and performance.

  • Own the quality of deliverables, collaborating with QA to ensure data correctness, backward compatibility.

  • Debug and resolve data issues, such as mismatches and performance issues such as long refresh.

  • Monitor deployment statistics and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in existing solutions.

  • Research new technologies and stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and prior art to influence the features of our underlying platform.

  • Participate in various planning, backlog grooming and platform technical design reviews

  • Contribute ideas for improving team productivity and code delivery practices to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.

  • Promote an inclusive and diverse work environment by contributing to a healthy, collaborative, and positive team culture.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent

  • 10+ years of developing and delivering data products/solutions

  • Strong grasp of data management and Software design fundamentals

  • Strong problem-solving/analytical skills and eye for details

  • Strong programming skills in Python/PySpark/Java/SQL

  • Experience with Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services and/or related technology experience

  • Experience in Data Science concepts, Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence is a plus

  • Experience in Software engineering is a plus

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud and Oracle Analytics is a plus

  • Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects
