Job Description
Our development team, you will be responsible for crafting and building components for OCI Object Storage systems. Object Storage is a highly scalable and performant public-facing service for storing unlimited amount of unstructured data. Components include Web Servers, Storage Servers, Cloud Gateways, and Bulk Import Appliances. You will own development of new components and features, from initial concepts through design, implementation, test, and operation. Your intelligence and expertise will result in a sense of accomplishment as you build new features as well as supervise their use by customers in a production environment. Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or crafting software applications or operating systems according to the provided design specifications. Build improvements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
Responsibilities:
Work with senior architects and Product Management to define requirements.
Work with the team to document designs.
Implement code, review code written by your peers.
Write test automation.
Share responsibility with other team members to deploy new code to production.
Operate services that host extensive amounts of data!
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience with a major Object-Oriented Programming language such as Java or C++ Understanding of data structures and design patterns
Skills for problem-solving.
Experience with RESTful Web Services or Storage Systems is a plus!
Experience with massively scalable systems is good to have.
