We are seeking a skilled and passionate DB2 and Oracle DB engineer with hands-on experience in DB2 RDBMS technologies and a development-focused approach. This role requires expertise in DB2, DB2 Connect, Shell Scripting , as well as skills in coding and optimization . This position is based in India and involves critical support for DB2 environments.
Key Qualifications:
Proven experience in DB2 RDBMS administration.
Proficiency in DB2 Connect and Shell Scripting .
Experience in Oracle RDBMS and OCI technologies.
Strong development-oriented mindset with skills in coding and optimization .
Experience in managing high-demand environments with a focus on proactive and reactive support .
Familiarity with Mainframe operations and DB2 tools.
This role is an exciting opportunity for a DB2 and Oracle DB engineer with a passion for optimizing and supporting complex DB2 environments.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Server Management and Maintenance:
Provide ongoing support across DB2 and Oracle clients in the US Datacenter , with a focus on consistent and high-quality service.
Mainframe-related operations such as Performance Tuning, Migrations, and Maintenance .
Application Support & Management:
Support inhouse and 3rd party suite of applications.
Deliver support On Demand, Proactively, and Reactively to ensure service levels are met and reduce backlog impacts.
Service Level Agreement (SLA) Adherence:
- Maintain a high Quality of Service to meet agreed SLAs with clients. Increased backlog poses risks to SLA compliance and quality, requiring meticulous prioritization and support.
DB2 System Lifecycle Management:
Manage End of Support for DB2 , including planning for upgrades and migrations to newer versions.
Manage Maintenance DB2 tools from IBM that were replaced by CA tools.
DB2 Connect and Server Maintenance Projects:
Provide DB2 Connect support for upcoming Fixed Pack upgrades.
Oversee the DB2 Server Maintenance Project to ensure continued performance and reliability.
Oracle and OCI Expertise:
Oracle support in Data Engineering including Data Life Cycle Management.
Oracle Cloud Technology support.
