Oracle Java Support/Troubleshooting Engineer in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

Join the Java Platform group and leverage expert Java product knowledge to deliver solutions based on customer requirements and contribute to the value of Oracle Java. We are looking for a dedicated engineer to improve our global support leadership Java platform. Working with Java Product Teams, Oracle Support, Sales and Marketing groups, and external partners is a crucial part of the job. You will be an advocate for Java customers while working on their technical engagements as well as contributing to product direction through regular interactions with Java Sustaining and Development teams.

Duties and responsibilities include providing strategic technical support to assure the highest level of customer satisfaction. A main focus is to create/utilize automated technology and instrumentation to diagnose, document, and resolve/avoid customer issues. You are expected to be an expert member of the technical problem solving/problem avoidance team, routinely sought after to address extremely complex, critical customer issues.

  • Drive the effective resolution of customer’s critical technical engagements

  • Operate efficiently in a fast paced environment, maintain composure, demonstrate leadership, and communicate in an outstanding manner

  • Report and communicate status to partners in a timely and consistent manner

  • Identify and engage technical experts as needed

  • Meet all document requirements for Service Requests and ticket

Requirements

  • Experience in Customer Support or other customer facing role

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience in Sciences or related degree

  • Experience in issue identification and fix scenarios

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java and C/C++ Excellent problem solver, creative thinker, and self-motivated

  • Experience with Cloud infrastructure a plus

  • Must have passion for customer happiness and ability to communicate complex technical information to multiple audiences

  • Able to work well both with local and remote team members

  • Good interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication in English, with other languages a benefit
