Google Senior Software Engineer, Developer Experience in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in software development.

  • Experience in software engineering, software architecture, and stakeholder management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with tooling and infrastructure development.

The Developer Experience team delivers products, resources, and communities for professional developers to be more productive creating valuable businesses that scale to users.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

  • Manage the team's technological development, product enhancements, and customer solutions.

  • Build partnerships with other teams across Google to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.

  • Lead the implementation of solutions to difficult problems for product portfolio.

  • Provide essential leadership during production issues and customer onboarding, ensure problem resolution, build consensus and drive action by conveying technical plans and negotiating key decisions.

  • Work with customers to understand pain points and work to provide innovative solutions.
