Job Description

Oracle's Global Industry Units (GIUs) provide best-in-class products and services to various industry verticals, such as communications, construction and engineering, food and beverage, financial services and insurance, health sciences, hospitality, public sector, and retail. The Data Intelligence (DIS) team defines, builds, and supports common services to deliver their products and services. We are committed to delivering state-of-the-art experiences that delight users and provide value to our industry customers. The DIS team is developing an Analytics and Data Science (AI/ML) Cloud Service for different GIUs to uptake. We need talented, multi-faceted Sr. Software Engineers to work on state-of-the-art technologies in a cloud-native environment.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in defining, following, and evolving standard practices and procedures related to developing & supporting software platforms, like designing, developing, and debugging software platforms and applications running on top of it.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop features & functionalities for PaaS applications.

  • Join local and remote agile teams of developers.

  • Take a leadership role in projects, including product design, development

  • Use and contribute to the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process (CI/CD).

  • Work with state-of-the-art Cloud technologies.

  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.

  • Demonstrate Strong Quality Orientation, and get involved in Team Processes that will enhance productivity.

  • Demonstrate dedication and responsibility in delivering results and be a Team Player.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Internals of OBIEE, OAS, and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)

  • Experience in OBIEE, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) including Data Visual Analyzer is preferred

  • Install and configure OBIEE, OAS, and Oracle’s pre-built applications.

  • Expertise in tuning OBIEE, and OAS processes to meet performance requirements of reports, and jobs.

  • Experience in developing thick model design (RPD) and BI reports development.

  • Experience in Oracle database programming skills. SQL, PL/SQL.

  • Exposure to Weblogic, Unix/Linux shell scripts, and Unix tools would be advantageous.

  • Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture

  • Hands-on experience in Continuous Integration (CI), Test Strategies, Git, Jenkins, Gradle, Docker.

  • Understanding of software quality assurance principles

  • Experience with test-driven development.

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and principles.

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in software development and coding in Object-oriented languages (Python/JAVA).

  • Experience in developing SaaS and PaaS and a good understanding of Cloud principles.

  • Experience in analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic.

  • Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.

  • Sociable, Autonomous, and Cooperative.
