Oracle Senior Software Developer in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

We are looking for experienced candidates to develop CI/CD pipelines and tools for cloud based development. What we expect from an ideal candidate -

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent proved experience

  • Thorough knowledge of any Source Code Control System like Clearcase, CVS, Git etc.

  • Good knowledge of Hudson/Jenkins, Maven and Groovy. (optional)

  • Clear understanding of the build process, compilers, linker and Makefiles.

  • Proficiency in any one or two of the scripting language: Shell, Python (Perl is optional).

  • Good in operating system concepts and commands, daemons and services.

  • Creative, Team-oriented, Quick Learner, and Driven to produce results.

  • Good understanding of SQL and worked on at least one db (Oracle, mysql)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Great debugging skills, self-starter

Additional Qualifications :

  • Your intellectual curiosity, technical subject matter expertise, and business acumen define you as a highly respected software engineer who has a passion to debug complex issues and an urge to get to the bottom of every failure.

  • You are good at tools development and can use scripting (Python, shell, perl).

  • You have a good understanding of CI/CD tooling ecosystem like Jenkins, GitLab and Artifactory.

  • You have done Hudson/Jenkins plugin development using groovy, java, jelly etc. (optional)

  • You have working experience of Make files (optional).

  • You are highly organized with very strong analytical skills, can prioritize multiple tasks, are very articulate both verbally and in written formats, can communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, and have excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

As a member of the tools team you will:

  • Use in-house source code control and distributed builds and testing tools that work on top of Oracle's Database.

  • Design and develop CI/CD tools for building and releasing the product.

  • You will own, maintain and improve parts of the Unified Integration Process using Python, Perl and shell scripts.

  • Create Jenkins jobs to do periodic and automated builds.

  • Participate in defect and issue resolution process.
