The Strategy and Technology Group (STG) is a new initiative within Aon to deliver innovative consulting and technology solutions to its clients. This is a great opportunity to join a growing group and to work with a highly skilled, collaborative team of actuarial and software experts who are using the latest technology to deliver next generation products for insurance markets.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
Senior QA Engineer is responsible for implementation of software for conducting tests and implementation of the testing itself to assess the quality of applications and their compliance with the stated requirements .
What the day will look like
Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings to share testing insights.
Participate and contribute to user story estimations during requirement analysis and design sessions.
Collaborate with Dev leads and BAs to develop test plans and organise 3 Amigos meetings to achieve team alignment on the test plan.
Create test cases based on acceptance criteria during sprints and execute them as an when feature is ready for testing.
Execute regression testing to verify bug fixes and enhancements, ensuring the overall stability of the application.
Contribute to QA processes/tools/methodologies improvements as appropriate.
Document and track defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
Collaborate with Automation Engineer in the team to provide inputs to manage test automation backlog.
Contributes to test case reviews thereby responsible for overall quality of test suites.
Design and develop API automation scripts using established tool.
Contributes to non-functional testing, including usability, accessibility, and security.
Knowledge of SQL queries and database testing.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in web application QA testing.
Experience in requirement analysis.
Functional & non-functional testing.
Regression testing.
Test case management using Azure DevOps Test Plans/TestRail.
Defect management using Azure DevOps Boards/Jira.
Testing in Agile methodologies.
Software testing life cycle.
API Test Automation skills (Postman, JMeter, SoapUI).
Working experience with SQL queries and database testing.
Experience in maintaining automated test scripts.
Experience in analysing test results.
Ability to collaborate with developers, delivery teams, consultants, and DevOps engineers.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
You can work under pressure and are proactive, and adaptable.
Nice to have skills:
CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps pipelines
Python programming
Development of automated UI test frameworks and processes (Gherkin/Cucumber, Python)
Security testing
Performance testing
Test driven development
Understanding of statistical models
