About the role

We are seeking a versatile Design, Commissioning, and Project engineer with 4-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for designing, commissioning, building automation systems (BAS) and Chiller Plant Manager (CPM),and managing project implementation, and ensuring successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design

  • Develop detailed engineering designs and specifications for BMS, including HVAC controls, lighting controls, security systems, and other integrated systems.

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to understand project requirements and design systems that meet technical and operational needs.

  • Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) to create layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams for BMS installations.

  • Commissioning:

  • Leading the commissioning process for various systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and performance requirements.

  • Developing commissioning plans, conducting tests, and troubleshooting systems to optimize performance.

  • Providing training and technical support to clients and end-users on system operation and maintenance.

  • Project Engineering:

  • Managing project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.

  • Coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to clarify project requirements and expectations.

  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing effective solutions to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Bachelors degree in Instrumentation engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics engineering, Mechanical engineering or related field.

  • Proficiency in programming and configuring BAS components such as controllers, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.).

  • Proficiency in chiller plant operations, controls, and HVAC system design principles.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in designing and commissioning BAS and CPM related systems.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot technical issues independently.

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent

  • Experience with specific BAS platforms such as Siemens Desigo, Johnson Controls Metasys, Honeywell Niagara, Distech, etc.

  • Experience with specific chiller plant manufacturers and controls systems (e.g. Trane, Johnson Controls).

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD/BIM software

  • Familiarity with energy management and sustainability practices related to chiller plant operations

  • Knowledge of LEED certification, and sustainability practices in building automation.
