Overview
The Finance Manager provides accurate, timely and efficient support for the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager collaborates in all aspects of the full finance and accounting cycle for one of the CJ entities in Czech Republic which rolls up to CJ US. This profile is also required to coordinate with CJ US, CJ UK and its subsidiary entities.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage month end close activities including preparation and posting of journal entries, Finalising Revenue for the month, Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing any necessary adjusting journal entries.
Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals, deferrals and other adjustments
Performing account reviews and analysis for Balance Sheet and P&L accounts
Reconciliation of accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts
Creating job codes, clients and invoices in SAP
Monitoring accurate billing and prepare corrections as needed
Reviewing AR aging and ensuring timely collections
Creating PO’s, vendors and inter-company billings in Altair (SAP)
Monitor intercompany collections
Review and resolve intercompany mismatches if necessary
Responsible for designated month-end duties, such as journal entry preparation
Preparation of monthly financial reports and statements for the management
Assist with internal control evaluations and implement best practices
Assist with special projects as needed, including internal and external audit requests
Maintain good rapport with staff, clients, vendors, external auditors and regulators
Check and assess all accounting records for accuracy
Adhere to best practices, standards and procedures in all accounting functions and activities
Coordinating with the local Tax consultant for Tax related matters
Work across the teams to ensure that group transactions are reflected accurately in each entity’s financials
Managing Annual Statutory Audit for Viv (CJ Czech Republic)
Qualifications
Graduate in Accounting or Finance and/or professional certification in a business-related subject matter (i.e. Accounting, Finance) is required to perform this position.
12-15 of professional experience in Finance, Accounting or Controlling
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and a passion for accuracy
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to learn quickly and succeed in a fast-paced environment
Desire to grow and assume more responsibility
Must be comfortable interfacing with employees outside of the office at other locations, via phone, email and web meetings to gain understanding and obtain information to complete monthly tasks
Able to display initiative & take ownership of problems
Must be a strong team player, flexible, and willing to work overtime when required
Hands on experience with ERP implementation / migration (preferably SAP)
Strong appreciation for the importance of ensuring accuracy in all levels of financial reporting
Open minded and culturally sensitive; well-structured and self-driven work approach; innovation driven
Will provide direction and counselling to junior team members helping them develop the skills and knowledge required for both delivery of the team’s objectives and their own career enhancement
