In this role typical day might include performing the following:
As a Principal IT Engineer, you will join the team responsible for crafting the Secure Systems Development Life Cycle framework for the Enterprise. You will also deliver solutions and services aligned with the Cybersecurity by Design program in a global environment.
Develop, improve, and deploy Regeneron's SSDLC roadmap and comprehensive strategy.
Collaborate with the Cybersecurity by Design Team, product development teams, and other stakeholders to integrate secure design principles throughout the software development lifecycle
Work with the Security by Design Team to build and operationalize a strategy for identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities within the SDLC.
Partner with software development teams to ensure architectural designs of software solutions incorporate secure design principles
Build and improve reliable, scalable, and secure SDLC solutions that meet business needs and align with NIST frameworks
Assist management in annual budgeting for the SDLC program
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and alignment to recognized architectural frameworks in solution design, build, and operations
Pay attention evolving security threats and trends, recommending proactive measures to mitigate risks.
Chip in to the development and delivery of software security awareness training programs.
Work with the Operations Team to continuously verify the effectiveness and efficiency of implemented technologies.
Perform ongoing evaluation and identification of trends and opportunities to improve efficacy of the SSDLC strategy and business use-cases.
Some off-hours meetings are encouraged to maintain efficient communications and operations across time zones.
Collaborate with vendors to drive solution optimization and business value.
Applying KPIs, provide monthly reporting on the efficacy of SSDLC tools to management.
Work with internal and external auditors.
Providing level 3 support for Secure Systems Development Life Cycle framework for the Enterprise
This job might be for you if you:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field, or equivalent Degree.
Good experience in building and deploying applications on popular Cloud platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure.
Proven 6+yrs experience with SSDLC capabilities in a global environment.
Experience designing and providing highly available and reliable applications/systems and processes capable of 24x7 business operations
Show professional experience in writing large applications in at least two programming languages and environments
Experience with regulatory compliance controls. GxP and SOX are preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively cooperate with all personnel from application developers to the CIO.
Ability to lead projects and mentor team members.
Strong Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ensuring security with SAST, DAST, and deploying to Kubernetes or cloud platforms. Proficient in infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Strong end-to-end knowledge in the design, engineering, and operation of a comprehensive SSDLC solution set.
Strong proven understanding of secure coding practices, Information Security processes, practices, and solutions
Enterprise SSDLC solutions including development, deployment, and runtime security solutions.
Good to have: Familiarity with relevant security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
