Google Front End Engineering Manager, Security Command Center in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

  • Experience as a direct manager of engineers and creating and delivering strategy.

  • Experience designing and implementing systems with a focus on the end-user experience.

  • Experience with front end frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, ReactJS, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading software projects and develop web apps.

  • Experience developing and delivering UIs and front-ends.

  • Experience hiring and leading full stack engineers.

  • Experience building analytics, insights, or reporting dashboards.

  • Experience building Enterprise or Cloud software.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

The Security Command Center (SCC) UI team is responsible for designing the next-generation Cloud Security console to provide a positive user experience (UX) to security professionals managing risk, compliance, threats, and vulnerabilities across multi-cloud environments. You will work on a team of engineering experts who work with many back-end teams across a security organization to deliver simple, seamless, elegant UX solutions allowing users to perform tasks through simple and intuitive workflows.

  • Manage and mentor a team of full stack UI engineers, and uphold coding standards and team values.

  • Partner with stakeholders and leaders to drive planning, design, and execution for UI feature area.

  • Provide design and code review guidance to help the team deliver features for flagship Angular UI and integration with Google Cloud Platform.

  • Establish engineering practices and influence them through design decisions, processes, and tools.
