Google Engineering Manager, Maps Content Control Platform in Bengaluru, India
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
1.5 years of experience in a leadership role (technical leadership or people management, supervision, or team leadership).
Preferred qualifications:
2 years of people management experience.
Experience across both server and client software, cross-platform development.
Interest in designing flexible and robust software systems.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

Develop a team roadmap, charter a long-term technical vision in collaboration with Maps Experiences engineering and product leads.
Allocate work thoughtfully to support careers of the members of your team and track your team's execution.
Mentor, coach and support your team, fostering a safe and respectful environment for all.
Offer direct design feedback and guidance on the technical direction to your team.
Collaborate effectively with peers and cross-functional partners across time zones to deliver on Geo-level strategic priorities.
