Our Team

The HashiCorp IP Compliance and Assurance Engineering team is tasked with building and establishing governance around Code governance, Detect IP Compliance breakages and provide assurance about our licensing. The team combines software engineering, cloud infrastructure engineering, and a deep understanding of Code governance issues, focusing on tooling development, cloud optimization, and governance. Working closely with product, and engineering, the team delivers outcomes that align with HashiCorp’s compliance and licensing goals.

About this Role

This Engineering Manager role provides the opportunity to lead the development of code licensing and governance systems. You will mentor and grow your team, contributing hands-on while also fostering collaboration and agile project management.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Bring 8+ years of total experience with at least 1+ year in a management capacity.

  • Direct the team’s strategies in building governance around code usage and licensing to meet organizational objectives.

  • Instill a culture focused on compliance and efficient decision-making within the engineering team.

  • Develop user-centric solutions that enhance the effectiveness of our Code governance practices.

  • Lead initiatives for infrastructural efficiency and compliance improvements.

  • Guide engineers towards professional development within a supportive environment.

  • Coordinate with various departments to integrate service catalog and governance practices with broader business goals.
