Role Summary/Purpose
The Staff Analytics engineer will be responsible for establishing data-driven, model-based and hybrid approaches to implement effective analytical algorithms for RM&D and associated products.
Essential Responsibilities
Understand working of equipment under field usage conditions
Evaluate available data sources, clean-up and analysis on large data sets
Develop analytics-based algorithms for predicting component health or failures
Lead projects to completion and share technical knowledge with group
Generate alternative solutions to problems to drive product and process innovation
Communicate technical accomplishments through internal & external publications
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Science)
Expertise in data modeling tools / programming languages like R, Python
Proficiency in analytical problem-solving techniques
Expert in machine learning & statistical modeling tools
Minimum 8 years of overall experience in engineering
At least 4 years of experience in analytics - modeling & assessment
Good understanding of Project Management Disciplines & Six Sigma Methodology
Strong oral / written communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Characteristics
Understanding of Rail, Transportation & remote monitoring system
Ability to work with remote cross- functional and cross-cultural teams
Knowledge of and exposure to manufacturing and engineering processes
Demonstrated commitment for innovation
