Content Strategist

The LinkedIn Knowledge Management Solutions (KMS) team creates and delivers self-service help content across multiple channels. Join us as we evolve our content strategy and governance, modernizing the way we work to create exceptional experiences for our members and customers. 

As a Content Strategist, you will be responsible for creating help content for products that align to the needs of a line of business. You'll be working with a Senior Content Strategist to create a data driven, user-centered content strategy, provide timely help content for feature releases, and interact with product leadership and partners to understand the evolution of the products.

Empowering our internal and external customers with the right content at the right time is our number one priority. The role is dependent on your ability to collaborate with partners and team members across locations to gather the information required to develop relevant and complete content for our help center audiences. You will be working closely with Product Operations, Product Education, and Project Management teams to create and define great content experiences for LinkedIn members and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver accurate and timely content for a line of business with guidance from a senior content strategist and your manager. 

  • Develop high-quality, user-centered content tailored for various delivery channels such as help center, in-product help, chatbots and virtual assistants as per KMS guidelines and based on inputs from stakeholders

  • Score and validate chatbot outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand guidelines and industry standards.

  • Build subject matter expertise for a designated area of work.

  • Analyze content performance metrics and user feedback to determine health of content and share insights with partners and writers.

  • Create and present project plans to business partners that are clear, concise, and establish agreement among business partners to see through the plan.

  • Collaborate, build relationships, and share knowledge with global team members and partners as needed.

  • Provide training and coaching to new team members on products, writing processes, and tools.

  • Participate in the peer-to-peer review process to improve the quality of content and provide open, honest, and constructive feedback.

  • Prioritize, resolve, and respond to internal inquiries/cases in a timely fashion. 

  • Master the LinkedIn Voice and Tone and contribute to the development of the Help Style Guide.

  • Model LinkedIn’s culture and values and actively participate in developing a healthy team culture.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of industry and technical writing experience. 

  • Experience in Technical Writing or Knowledge Management practices. 

  • Experience in working with content management systems (any) and authoring tools (any). 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience intoanalytical, organizational, and project management skills. 

  • Experience in DITA or other topic-based authoring methodology. 

  • Knowledge of information mapping, topic based authoring, or similar methodologies. 

  • Proficiency using content authoring tools such as XMetal, Oxygen, is an advantage. 

  • Proficiency in SharePoint, Wiki, Content Management System (any) 

  • Experience in creating and validating content for AI conversational interfaces and familiarity with prompt engineering principles is an advantage

  • A team player who can develop strong relationships with partner and writing teams. 

  • Enjoys working within teams (both local and global) and also autonomously.  

  • Curious, innovative, and passionate about learning. 

  • Positive attitude and growth mindset. 

  • Flexible and willing to help with other projects, as needed.
