Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a FPI (Level 3).
The hours for this role are 6:00a-2:30p
The hourly rate for this position is $27.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
Please note, certain duties performed by this role require this position to be subject to the guidelines of our Repair Station Certificate and are subject to DOT drug testing.
This position is responsible for non-destructive visual evaluation of surface defects of welds, machined and formed parts, using fluorescent penetrant per applicable Eaton, industry and customer specifications. The job encompasses cleaning and preparation of parts, followed by visual inspection under UV light using fluorescent penetrant liquid.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform fluorescent penetrant inspection under UV light per applicable drawings/specifications.
• Clean and dry parts per applicable drawings/specifications prior to penetrant inspection.
• Interpretation and evaluation of indications per applicable drawings, specifications and standards.
• Set up and calibrate equipment as appropriate.
• 5S+ involvement which includes but not limited to individual working area
• Generate non-conformance reports (CARE forms) when parts don’t meet specifications
• Prepare test reports to document findings as needed
• Ability to work with ERP system (MFG/Pro) to process parts through the system
• Perform additional Quality specific functions as necessary
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Minimum 1 year experience within the manufacturing, operations and/or Aerospace/Technical industry
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of the Eaton Beltsville facility will be considered
• All positions require use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in arms regulations. All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S.Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Florescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) Certification
• Mechanical Inspection experience
• Previous Non Destructive Inspection (NDI) experience
Position Criteria:
• Minimum 436hrs of onsite training at Eaton required (400hrs hands on with 36hrs of classroom study)
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints and technical specifications
• Shall be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Shall be able to organize and report test results
• Ability to work independently with no supervision
• Shall be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Must be able to meet the Near Vision and Color Perception requirements of Eaton Beltsville procedure.
