We are currently on the hunt for a diligent Accounting Clerk in Beltsville, Maryland. Your role will predominantly encompass a varied spectrum of accounting tasks, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and aiding in month-end closes. A critical part of your responsibility will entail developing policies and processes and spotting potential areas of process enhancement and cost reduction.

Key Duties:

• Aiding the accounting team in managing billing, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP)

• Contributing to the month-end close process

• Reconciling accounts and examining discrepancies to ensure precision

• Interacting with in-house teams to pinpoint areas for process optimization and automation

• Helping identify areas to cut costs across the company

• Keeping accurate record of invoices and payments

• Handling B2B collections and keeping precise records

• Using Microsoft Excel proficiently for varied tasks that include data entry

• Extending general assistance to the accounting team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in billing and invoice processing

• Strong skills in data entry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in collections

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
