Job Title: Proficient and Expert Welder - 1st Shift
Job Description
Join our team as a welder specializing in the production of stainless steel tanks for the dairy industry. This role requires expertise in MIG and TIG welding, fabrication, and the ability to work with various welding positions. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, food-grade welds and managing the welding process to prevent issues such as overheating, distortion, and shrinkage.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel for tank production in various positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, custom fabricate, or grind materials as necessary to meet technical requirements.
Control fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid problems related to overheating, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage of parts.
Read and understand basic prints and drawings.
Solve fabrication tasks and troubleshoot problems during tank production.
Identify correct metals for orders and ensure proper process and fit-ups.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
Ability to set up and weld metals unsupervised.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of basic prints and drawings.
Experience in fitting, assembly, and fabrication.
Minimum 1 year of TIG welding experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to train others.
Efficiency at 95-100%.
Welding certification.
Experience in supervising multiple individuals (5-10).
Expertise in operating, maintaining, and fixing welding equipment.
Self-motivation and ability to work independently.

Work Environment
1st Shift: Monday-Thursday (5am-3:30pm). Overtime is available after training, with voluntary OT on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Our facility is brand new and state-of-the-art, offering a clean and modern work environment. The PTO structure includes 5 paid vacation days and 3 paid personal days for new hires, increasing to 2 weeks’ vacation and 3 paid personal days after one year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays, including their birthday. Attendance policies are flexible, with one unexcused call-in allowed per year without penalty, and further absences managed through a structured warning system.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
