We swath and bale alfalfa, brome, side oats, big bluestem, little blue stem, Indian grass and prairie hay. There will be countless hours running a swather, rake and baler (round and square balers) during our hay making season which starts in April and ends in December. We produce hay for our own cattle herd. We need employees to assist with our hay productions season. Employees will need to stack hay including small square bales onto trailers and into barns. Employees will also need to load, unload and haul bales to storage. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employers discretion.
The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries and/or other incidentals.
Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each work day.
