Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Application Engineer - SVG VIP in Belo Horizonte, Brazil

Cadence Design Systems is looking for an Application Engineer to be part of its System & Verification Group (SVG), focusing on Verification IP (VIP) . If you like to architect and develop solutions for challenging problems in a fast and innovative paced environment, using state of the art technology, this is a great opportunity. This position is in Belo Horizonte.

Job Description:

As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for pre-sale and/or post sale support to customize Electronic Design Automation tools used to design electronic circuits, components and systems to meet customer requirements, focusing on application of Cadence Verification IPs for SoC and system-level testing.

The candidate is expected to develop customer specific verification requirements, including advanced verification component development; methodology support ; and operation and maintenance of Cadence’s EDA tools and services; to support technical evaluations and benchmark development; to create and conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for customers.

Key responsibilities in this position are to:

· Establish technical credibility and rapport with customers.

· Provide world-class support, proactive training, and problem consultation.

· Collaborate with R&D to introduce new simulation technologies and enhancements.

· Champion customer needs and help R&D and product engineers develop competitive and creativetechnical solutions.

· Build functional verification environments (testbench creation) and help customers to deploy Cadence Verification IPs into their SoCs;

· Understand the competitive landscape and continuously work on differentiating Cadence’s solutions;


Minimum Requirements

· BSE or graduation Computer/Electrical Engineering or related areas;

· Good RTL understanding and coding;

· Knowledge of Unix, C/C+

  • · Excellent English written and oral communication skills;

    · Fluent in Portuguese: reading, writing and speaking


    Nice to have skills

    · Design fundamentals such as SoC hardware architecture, micro-architecture

    · Good understanding of high-speed communication protocols with external devices and/or external memories;

    · Verification skills such as UVM testbench architecture, development and debug, SystemVerilog, SVA

    · Scripting languages (Perl, Python, TCL, Bash, etc)
