Description
Growing Construction company located in Belmar NJ is looking for a Corporate Controller. The Controller should have strong experience working with the P& L, Balance Sheet and WIP (cost accounting). This role will manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organization including: Accounting, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivable and Human Resources functions.
Major responsibilities
Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required
Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards
Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape such as the asphalt market.
Complete tasks beyond formal job responsibilities
Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliations.
Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash
Requirements
The ideal candida will have 5+ years of experience. Degree is a must, MBA or CPA is highly preferred.
