Texas Fabrication Company Assembly Technician in Bellville, Texas
Primary Duty: Work with finished parts from production and assemble them into a final customer facing product.
Be able to follow written and verbal instructions
Ensure repeatable results in assembly meet designated specification
Be familiar with the use of all tools and equipment necessary
Be able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
Be familiar with DC electrical concepts
This position will handle finalized products for the Inventory/Shipping Supervisor and assist when directed in the packaging of finished goods.
Follow written and verbal instructions
Instructions for assembling products will be written out in step-by-step fashion allowing this position success when following order of operations.
Verbal instructions will be given to augment the written instructions and to convey general best practices with tool use, maintenance, storage and safe handling.
Repeatable results
- Follow instructions and utilize Quality Control devices and procedures to ensure the final products have consistency in their assembly.
Familiarization with Tools and Equipment
Attend all in person and on-line training necessary to safely and effectively use the tools provided.
Shadow a more experienced assembler or see the Assembly / QC Manager for instruction.
Read the manufacturers manual.
Read Blueprints and Wiring Diagrams
Read diagrams to assist with the assembly of the finished product; also know naming conventions used, symbols used, internal company standards, and tolerances.
Using a diagram, be able to wire the diagram taking into account the concepts of DC electrical wiring product to match.
Safe handling of DC power sources utilized to ensure component status as well as to QC final assembly.
Assembly may switch from stationary style work to assembly line work as volume of orders increases.
Provide insight to help improve efficiency and the speed of assembly in order to match the customer's demand.
