Our Northwest Planning and Analysis team helps our communities meet their goals using innovative, data-driven methods and tools. We are a multidiscipline, highly skilled, and engaging team of planners and engineers supporting public and private clients throughout the Pacific Northwest (Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon and Alaska). Given our mix of skillsets, we work with teams across the country and across disciplines.

Some typical projects include corridor environmental impact statements, long range transportation plans, alternatives analysis, feasibility studies, corridor plans, and facility plans. You will be responsible for transportation modeling, traffic analysis, safety analysis, drafting recommendations, coordinating with stakeholders and clients, presenting and writing analysis results, and working closely with people from different disciplines and backgrounds.

In this position you will have the opportunity to support or lead business development efforts, coordinate Jacobs’ worldwide transportation planning and engineering practice, and support colleagues through mentorship and skill sharing.

The base salary range for this position is $67,300to $117,800 for an Intermediate level position and $82,000 - $143,400 for an Associate level position. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations [add if remote]. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Here’s what you’ll need :

· Undergraduate degree in engineering, planning or related field

· 5-10 years’ experience as a planner, modeler, or traffic engineer

· Demonstrated experience working on transportation projects such as multimodal corridor plans, transit plans, feasibility studies, environmental impact reviews, and/or land use plans.

· Experience with one or more transportation modeling software packages including Visum, Vissim, TransCAD, Synchro, HCS, and/or other software.

· Experience with one or more analysis/ programming languages such as Python, R, or similar

· Proficient technical writing and report or presentation preparation to present analysis and modeling results to a broad audience.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

· Professional Engineer License in Washington, or ability to obtain reciprocal license

· PTOE Certification

· Experience in business development and mentoring staff

· Knowledge of traffic signals and signal systems
