Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Key job responsibilities
Have you wanted an opportunity to manage systems for an advanced satellite broadband telecom service? In this role you will manage hardware and software for secure communications and strong authentication, enabling the confidentiality for our customers and security for our constellation. Our team drives the development, deployment, and operation of mission-critical security systems for the Kuiper constellation and customer terminals. We are looking for a System Engineer / Systems Administrator interested in managing services around public key infrastructure, certificate management, and identity management for Project Kuiper.
EXPORT CONTROL REQUIREMENT

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Systems Administration, or enterprise production experience in similar environments
3+ years of experience operating in a 24/7 production environment.
Development of systems automation in a scripting language: Bash/Shell, Perl, Python, Ruby, or similar languages
Linux based systems administration experience
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years experience with cloud computing technologies
3+ years of networking experience
3+ years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience with key management, firmware signing, secure provisioning, or Hardware Security Modules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
