Amazon Supply Chain Manager, Mid Term Planning, AMXL Supply Chain in Bellevue, Washington

This role will have a unique opportunity to learn the end to end (E2E) Supply Chain processes and positively impact them to serve internal & external customers. The Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) Supply Chain team is looking for an experienced supply chain manager with a strong record of achieving results to develop and lead the organization’s mid-term planning cycles.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive integration of the end to end (E2E) supply chain change management processes to deliver for internal & external customers.

  • Lead network-wide projects and high-volume event planning and post-mortem.

  • Work across the NA organization in a cross-functional environment with the forecasting teams, Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, Delivery Stations and Technology teams

  • Develop standard planning process mechanisms for all AMXL planning cycles to document assumptions and initiatives that need to be executed to meet the plan, and organize a tracking mechanisms to follow initiative statuses.

  • Monitor quality of the network initiatives implementation, monitor progress of initiatives and make changes to the plan to reflect in the latest quarterly guidance

  • Foster communication channels and collaboration with the different Supply Chain execution and Long-Term Planning teams

  • Overseegaps between teams, processes and systems, helping teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes assumptions, insufficient stakeholder review, etc

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce non-value added work

  • Actively seek collaboration & standardization of cadences/processes across business lines geographies

A day in the life

This role will be key in setting accurate Quarterly guidance targets and OP1 & OP2 plans partnering with Finance, Supply Chain execution, Long Term Planning, Last Mile Execution AMXL teams and MOP & SCOT teams. This role will support the Last Mile phase of planning horizons (OPx through QxG) and will be responsible for developing and maintaining plan over plan bridges.

About the team

The NA Supply Chain team is responsible for the end-to-end supply chain for AMXL, from inventory planning/placement, through fulfillment, middle-mile, last-mile delivery to the customer and back again through customer/vendor returns. Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • PMO OR Supply Chain Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
