Job Overview We are in search of an experienced Security Engineer Investigator to join the T-Mobile Cyber Threat Intelligence team, playing a vital role in ensuring the security and resilience of our digital infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for detecting, analyzing, and developing metrics around internal and external bad actors and actor groups, as well as investigating complex threats to our business and users while advancing investigative methodologies. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PHP or Python is crucial for automating investigative actions. Additionally, the role involves creating and implementing automations and enhancements to the team's workflow infrastructure, necessitating close collaboration to understand workflow requirements for proactive integration opportunities. Responsibilities also include leading intricate investigations, analyzing security protocols, and implementing measures to strengthen security across mobile and IoT devices, enterprise applications, cloud infrastructure, big data systems, and network technologies. Collaborating closely with other experts in the Cyber Threat Intelligence community develops proactive strategies to enhance cybersecurity defenses and actively promotes the adoption of network security standard processes within T-Mobile. Job Responsibilities Leads complex investigations, gathering evidence in to various types of abuse against T-Mobile infrastructure and its customers. Enhances operational efficiency by introducing innovative and sustainable changes to existing security methodologies. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of information security both within and beyond the organization, communicating effectively with partners at all levels. Collaborates with various organizations such as fraud, legal, corporate investigations, consumer group, network engineering and others to minimize enterprise risk. Implements security initiatives in response to internal and external demands within the realm of information security. Provides guidance and mentorship to colleagues and junior team members on security technologies, enterprise solutions, and customer interaction skills. Applies various threat modeling methodologies to assess risks, including but not limited to STRIDE, PASTA, and DREAD. Demonstrates expertise in multiple aspects of network and information security, encompassing firewall policy design, vulnerability analysis, and SSL certificate management. Possesses advanced knowledge of IP/security solutions relevant to wireless network architecture. Conducts thorough analysis of underlying technologies essential for threat identification, analysis, and mitigation. Uses threat modeling to identify trust boundaries, threat agents, vectors, and safeguards necessary for protecting assets, data, and the T-Mobile brand. Education Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent work experience Work Experience 4-7 years Experience in info security technology or related field Experience using network information to investigate.
