Amazon Sr. Program Manager, Product Operations, Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) in Bellevue, Washington
Description
Amazon Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) works on some of the world’s most complex supply chain challenges, at Amazon scale. Within SCOT’s Optimal Sourcing Systems team, our tools enable retail vendors to manage their Amazon purchasing and inbound shipping interactions through multiple applications serving our vendor community. These programs aim to drive highly efficient supply chain operations between Amazon and our retail vendors worldwide, and shape what’s next for our global supply chain ecosystem. We are seeking a Sr. Program Manager (Sr. PM) to centrally manage the user engagement lifecycle for a designated set of supply chain tools. This includes identifying needs and opportunities for different user segments, synthesizing data and influencing roadmaps of multiple product teams, and centrally driving vendor adoption for supply chain tools. The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, with an interest in solving supply chain problems and a blend of experience across product management, product marketing and cross-functional program management. They thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical and business judgment and solid communication skills, and are known for their bias for action and ability to influence partner teams.
Key job responsibilities
This role will aggregate and analyze inputs from multiple sources and synthesize insights to influence technology decisions. They will partner with both internal and external organizations to understand and document nuances of vendor supply chain operations across company segments and geographic regions, quantify the needs of vendor segments and propose opportunities to close gaps through enhancements to supply chain product roadmaps or system capabilities. As new supply chain products or features are brought to market, the Sr. PM is responsible for orchestrating the new product offerings into vendor-centric adoption and operationalization strategies – i.e. designing and executing go-to-market plans, communications and launch strategies, as well as feedback loops to identify barriers to adoption and priorities for further enhancement.
A day in the life
You will collaborate directly with multiple internal business teams or strategic selling partners to extract insights about needs and opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency. You will also pivot to interact with supply chain product teams, providing insights that will help define product requirements and value for our business and vendors. On any given day you may deep dive data to understand the behaviors, barriers and operational variances that impact supply chain operations for different vendor segments, or meet directly with users to better understand how they operate and test the effectiveness of designated product sets. Written documents are the primary mechanism for communicating insights, product opportunities, status updates and topics for debate; you will regularly author or contribute to documents that support the operational insights, awareness and adoption lifecycle of supply chain products.
About the team
You will join a strong, cross-functional team of product managers, business intelligence engineers, scientists, UX designers and software development engineers to build and operationalize vendor experiences and ML driven products that maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations to meet Amazon’s business goals and to make our customers happy.
