Bardy Diagnostics, a fast-growing organization within Baxter, is seeking a talented Principal Engineer. As a member of our dedicated team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients and healthcare providers. The R&D lab at Bardy Diagnostics is currently seeking a full-time regular-employee Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering team at our Bellevue headquarters. Contribute to new product development, and work with and learn from accomplished and interesting engineers with a strong history of successful cardiac monitoring product development. The right person will have a strong curiosity about how things work, has a history of taking things apart, likes learning, and does embedded projects on their own. The main area of contribution will be PCB/PCBA design, but strong HW debugging skills will be an asset.Firmware experience, while not required, is a complementary skill for this role. What you'll be doing: Develop PCBAs for low power, low noise, wearable medical products with an emphasis on analog circuit design. Act as a leader on the team to mentor engineers to develop them professionally. Perform as the technical lead for sustaining and new product development projects. Author requirements for electrical design following medical device standards. Perform verification and validation against design requirements. Bring up PCBAs for new designs and troubleshoot issues. Lead and participate in system design reviews, hardware design reviews and code reviews. Work with the Manufacturing Team to transfer products to production. Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. Work with other engineers to improve operational strategies and development processes. Perform component library creation and maintenance. What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other technical or science discipline. 8+ years of experience developing PCB/PCBAs. 5+ years demonstrated success in designing electronics for medical-device products. Demonstrated success in designing class II - class III medical devices and bringing them to market. Advanced experience creating high fidelity analog designs. Experience developing low-power, high speed layout. Experience with relevant safety standards for Class II or Class III (IEC-60601, etc...) Experience developing wearables. Experience developing flex designs. Ability to work independently and help coordinate priorities with leadership. Proficiency with electrical engineering design and simulation software (e.g., LTSpice, PSPice). Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (Altium Designer preferred).
