With Amazon Freight, SMB and Enterprise Shippers can tap into Amazon’s world-class middle mile transportation solutions for their own freight needs, whether shipping inbound to Amazon or to third-party facilities.

The Amazon Freight team in works closely together to drive self-service acquisition, lifecycle marketing, media buying and demand generation for Sales, accelerating the growth of our business.

We are seeking a Sr. Event Marketing Manager to support the Amazon Freight and Shipping products. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned event marketing professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a passion for planning, executing, and analyzing in-person, hybrid, and virtual events. As a key member of the Events team, you will manage and execute events from inception to assessment to drive brand awareness, thought leadership, and sales.

To be successful in this role, you will learn and stay up-to-date on the evolving Amazon Freight and shipping products and external freight industry best practices and trends. You operate well under pressure, pivoting strategies quickly and as-needed, while balancing competing priorities. You thrive being live for in-person events, are extremely organized, have experience working with production agencies and event vendors and can delegate as needed. You have a creative vision, as you will oversee creation for various forms of design and content to fit your marketing needs.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute the end-to-end strategy and plans for 3P and 1P trade shows and events, including webinars and hybrid events; this includes tactical execution

• Define the goals of each program component, manage the budget and timeline, and oversee a variety of vendors and venue partners to ensure all stakeholders are working together to deliver a high-quality experience

• Manage 3P and 1P event calendar, tracking, and measuring/reporting out on KPIs

• Design, create, and execute novel event approaches to drive customer engagement at 1P and 3P events

• Execute and iterate on 1P and 3P event strategy

• Ensure a high bar of customer experience for all events in the organization

• Partner with the content marketing team to prepare speakers for speaking engagement

• Partner with the creative team to design and produce event creative assets

• Apply strong project management, documentation, analytics and reporting skills to overall event management

• Manage external suppliers/agencies

• Establish guidelines and best practices across teams, leading and contributing to the event calendar, stakeholder communications, standard operating procedures (SOP), vendor lists, and documentation of mechanisms

• Write and contribute to documents

• This role travels (20-30% of time)

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience communicating results to stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
