Required Skills:

Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various products or software services.

  2. Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems.

  3. Work closely with product and design teams to build new and innovative application experiences for Android.

  4. Work on problems of moderate scope and implement custom native user interfaces using the latest Android programming techniques.

  5. Work closely with Data science and Data engineering teams to design, implement and analyze experiments and iterate solutions.

  6. Produce high-quality code with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks.

  7. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

  8. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

  9. Master internal development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or work experience in the following:

    1. Coding in all of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, and Java
    1. Building large-scale infrastructure Messaging applications
    1. Creating cross-platform (web/iOS/Android) applications using at least one of the following: Python, PHP, or Ruby
    1. Relational databases and SQL with performance profiling expertise
    1. Implementing web interfaces and proficient in all the following languages: JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
    1. Experiences implementing mobile interfaces on both iOS and Android
    1. Lower level cross platform mobile infrastructure
    1. Building automation framework and end to end testing
    1. Building maintainable and testable codes bases including API design and unit testing techniques
    1. Multithreading programming and mobile memory management
    1. Code editors (VIM), and revision control systems (GIT)
    1. Linux
    1. Building highly-scalable performant solutions
    1. Distributed systems including sharding, consistency, and availability
    1. Algorithms.

Public Compensation:

$203,350/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
