What you'll do...
Join our innovative and dynamic People Technology engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will play an important role in developing and implementing digital solutions that solve mission critical business problems in supporting Walmart associates. Your projects will make a significant impact, be scalable, and drive Walmart's modernization efforts in the People Technology organization.

What you'll do:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll spend your days translating requirements into solutions, writing code and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You'll lead other engineers in the team who will look to you as a trusted advisor, a subject matter expert who provides guidance and the right tools to get the job done
Participates in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to come up with high level design by partnering with architects, product management and user experience teams.
What you'll bring:
Demonstrated Expert level knowledge of the following programming Languages: Java, Kafka streaming, NoSQL. Build Manager (Maven), Distributed Version Control (GIT), functional automation testing (Cucumber or Karate) experience.
Have proficient knowledge and experience with RESTful webservices, Kafka Queues, Cosmos, Json, Cassandra
Solid knowledge of OOPs concepts, spring and design patterns.A disciplined approach to development, code review, exception handling, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environment
Knowledge of technologies used in building scalable, distributed systems in virtualized cloud environments.
Ability to design for fault tolerance and high availability.
Solid devops skills in troubleshooting live applications, assessing performance bottlenecks of applications running on cloud.
Experience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)

Bellevue, Washington US-11075:The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00
DALLAS, Texas US-09648:The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
