Amazon Senior Product Manager – Intelligence & Automation, Shipment Technologies in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Amazon’s Ship Tech (STS) team is responsible for key technology that enables planning, orchestration, and execution of transportation service to deliver billions of packages to Amazon.com customer globally. Our goal is to ensure the best delivery experience for customers across all geographies through a highly scalable, adaptive, and autonomous transportation network.

We are looking for a product leader to be a part of our multi-year effort to build the next generation of transportation planning and intelligence products. They will own critical Amazon services that leverage real-time insights and predictive supply chain data across our entire network to drive automation, efficiency, and visibility. These services allow us to identify problems that could impact on-time delivery, take proactive actions to mitigate network and package level problems, and keep customers informed on what is happening.

The ideal candidate is capable of breaking down and solving complex problems, and has a strong will to get things done! You will work on real world problems on a global scale. You own your products end-to-end and influence the direction of our product and technology which impacts hundreds-of-millions of customers around the world. You are a hands-on, pragmatic problem solver that easily balances trade-offs between competing interests. You thrive in a fast-moving team environment where you are able to juggle complex dependencies and requirements while producing optimal solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • 5+ years of experience designing, presenting, and realizing innovative solution for supply chain and logistics, especially with regards to process optimization and automation

  • 2+ years hands-on experience in leading projects in both cloud and edge computing, including developing location and IoT capabilities in support of supply chain & logistics functions

  • Experience developing 0-1 product strategy, driving market research, and developing product roadmaps

  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with third party technology vendors to realize product value proposition, as required

  • Experience evaluating Build-vs.-Buy Decisions, and assessing feasibility and cost-effectiveness of building products in-house versus potential partnerships or acquisitions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
