Salesforce Inc. seeks Senior Director Software Engineering in Bellevue, WA:
Job Duties: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many multi-functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers. Make critical decisions that contribute to the success of the product. Be proactive in foreseeing issues and resolving it before it happens. Conduct daily management of stand-ups as the Scrum Master for engineering teams. Partner with PO to align with objectives, priorities, tradeoffs, and risk and ensure teams have clear priorities and adequate resources. Empower the delivery team to self-coordinate and be a multiplier and have a passion for team and team members' success. Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members and maintain high morale and motivate the delivery team to go above and beyond. Vocally advocate for technical excellence and helping the teams make good decisions and participate in architecture, design discussions and planning. Participate in multi-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams. Maintain and encourage our culture by interviewing and hiring only the most qualified individuals. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Distributed Systems -- Service Oriented Architecture (5 years); (2) Designing Technology Stacks (5 years); (3) MySQL (5 years); (4) Debugging and Monitoring Production Services (5 years); (5) Data Structures and algorithms (5 years); (6) Java (5 years); (7) Amazon Web services (AWS) (5 years); (8) Source Control Systems (e.g. GIT) (5 years); (9) People Management; (10) Data Warehouse. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
Salary: $251,576.00 - $365,000.00 per annum.
