OKTA Senior Analyst, Tax Compliance and Reporting in Bellevue, Washington

We're building a world where Identity belongs to you. Okta is searching for a Senior Analyst, Tax Compliance and Reporting to join Okta's Global Tax Compliance and Reporting Team. The ideal candidate is a process-oriented team builder with technical knowledge of ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes and fundamental income tax concepts. We're looking for someone who thinks outside of the box and has strong project management skills because our high-performing culture is based on autonomy and responsibility. The role is hybrid based with offices in San Francisco, CA and Bellevue, WA. Job duties and responsibilities may include assisting with the following: Preparation process for the company's quarterly and annual income tax accrual under ASC 740 with the assistance of our external tax advisors Income tax related disclosures in our 10K, 10Q, and non-GAAP reporting Federal, state, and international income tax return compliance process Managing the relationship with our external auditors Review or prepare tax workpapers Automate and streamline our tax reporting and compliance processes Cash tax and income tax expense forecasting process SOX compliance through documentation and timely performance of controls Tax modeling and other special projects Diligence and tax accounting related to acquisitions and other corporate reorganizations Resolving tax controversy matters Qualifications: 3+ years of combined public accounting and/or industry experience in tax CPA license (or equivalent license) Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting Strong understanding of accounting for income taxes under ASC 740, including experience with tax rate forecasting/modeling, maintaining inventory of deferreds, valuation allowance analysis, FIN 48, and tax footnote disclosures. Strong understanding of federal, state, and international income tax concepts Proficient with Google workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred: Master's in Taxation Public company and Tech/SaaS experience Big 4 accounting firm experience OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax experience #LI-MK1 Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
