About the Role:

The Production Assembly Technician II plays a critical role in the assembly and delivery of high-quality instrumentation. This position requires a strong understanding of electronic theory and mechanical aptitude to effectively troubleshoot and repair components. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for identifying inefficiencies in production processes, proposing solutions, and implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.

This role demands meticulous attention to detail, as all instruments must be properly assembled, tested, and pressurized before shipment to customers. The Production Assembly Technician II’s contributions are vital to maintaining high production standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

This position will be a part of the Microcat Department and will be on site in Bellevue, Wa.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Building Microcat/ Hydrocat Units : Assemble Microcat and Hydrocat units with precision and attention to detail, ensuring all components meet quality standards and are properly configured. Preparing Supermarkets : Efficiently build and organize supermarkets for all units, ensuring that the necessary parts and materials are readily available to support production schedules and minimize downtime. Monitoring Part Availability : Proactively monitor inventory levels and identify potential part shortages daily, collaborating with procurement or inventory teams to resolve issues before they impact production. Schedule Management : Regularly review the production schedule to ensure units are on track for on-time delivery, identifying and addressing any potential delays. Participating in Gemba Walks : Attend Gemba meetings to provide updates on completed tasks, highlight any challenges faced, and contribute to discussions on improving productivity and processes. Quality Assurance : Conduct routine checks on assembled units to ensure they meet performance and quality standards before moving to the next phase. Continuous Improvement : Actively seek opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and contribute to team-wide efforts for operational excellence.

This role requires a proactive mindset, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in production and communication.

What Are the Qualifications?

  • 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to demonstrate advanced level of mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, schematic and wiring diagrams

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to lift and handle 30-50 pounds daily, with a focus on safe material handling practices.

  • Strong focus on precision and accuracy to ensure quality in every aspect of the manufacturing process.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams and meet shared goals.

  • Flexibility to manage shifting priorities and thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $25.00 - $27.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
